State Advocacy!
- Tell Gov. Inslee to extend the eviction moratorium through March, 2021! The moratorium is set to expire on Oct. 15th, and the Governor Inslee is expected to make a decision on whether he will extend the moratorium within the next week or so. We need to push hard to ensure that people cannot be evicted during COVID-19, and that there are no harmful loopholes allowed in the moratorium, or else we will see massive numbers of evictions and an increase in homelessness. Please lend your voice and email Gov. Inslee today by using the action link here! TAKE ACTION
Federal Advocacy!
- We heard from Brittani at NIS about the recent Executive Orders from the Trump administration banning the use of federal funds on equity trainings. NIS is calling on organizations to sign on to this letter to condemn the executive orders. If you are authorized to sign your org on, please do so!
- Continue contacting your Members of Congress and urge them to pass a relief package as soon as possible that includes funding for rental assistance, homelessness programs, and more! Send an email here: bit.ly/WLIHArentreliefnow
