It is with tremendous joy that I announce the official opening of Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day registration!
Please join hundreds of your fellow advocates from across the state for Advocacy Day 2014 on Tuesday, January 28. Your early registration allows us to schedule meetings with your legislators and get started on making Advocacy Day 2014 the best it can be.
Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day is an opportunity for you to show our elected officials the strength of this statewide movement. It demonstrates the collective power of our community and brings a unified message of support for affordable housing and ending homelessness to Olympia!

Last year the 600+ voices at Advocacy Day were key to the progress made on our policy and funding goals. This included helping remove barriers to housing for survivors of domestic violence, securing a meaningful investment in the Housing Trust Fund, preserving programs that help people with disabilities keep their homes, and much more.
This session brings another budget deficit and a tough political environment, so we must once again stand strong for our priorities. There's power in a united call for the elimination of barriers to housing, a new investment in the Housing Trust Fund, and a continued push for new revenue to protect safety-net services from further cuts!
This year’s theme is “…it all starts at home.” The theme starts with an ellipsis (...) because it's meant to connect the importance of a home to other basic needs in life, like having a steady job, positive learning outcomes, and good health. For instance: "A healthy life...it starts at home...it starts with a home!"
